- Keep your face very clean. Wash your face only two or three times a day. Too much of washing will stimulate your skin to produce more oil.
- Use cold water to splash your face while washing it.
- Use a multani mitti (Fuller’s earth) face pack or a mud mask. You can also use scented clay masks.
- Always use a good astringent before moisturizing to close the open pores of your face.
- Use the white of an egg, whisked and apply to your face. Once dried wash your face with besan (gram flour). This pack helps people with oily skin.
- Avoid oily and fried food throughout especially in summer. If you cannot resist fried food, then consume them in moderation.
- Use more glycerin-based soaps. It controls the oils secreted with out completely drying out the skin

- Mix Cucumber juice, lime juice in equal quantity. Apply to your face and wash it after 15mins with cold water
- In a bowl pour water half way and add 5 – 6 drops of Eau-de-Cologne and refrigerate. You can either use cotton balls to wipe away the oiliness in your face.
- You can also use 1 tbsp. of apple juice with 6-7 drops of limejuice. Apply this to your face and let it dry. Wash your face with cold water.
- Apply tomato juice and leave it on your face for 15-20 min. wash it off with normal water.
- Mix 1egg and 1 teaspoon of honey and apply as face pack and wash off after 10-15 min.
