We Are Family is the Hindi remake of the 1998 American film Stepmom, starring JuliaRoberts, Susan Sarandon and Ed Harris. In the Hindi film, directed by Siddharth Malhotra, Arjun Rampal plays the role which Ed Harris played and two women are acting powerhouses –Kajol and Kareena Kapoor. Produced by Karan Johar, We Are Family is slated to release in September or October. We bring you a sneak peek into the film’s story.
We Are Family
Maya (Kajol) is the perfect mother whose life revolves around her three children. Aman is Maya’s ex husband. The couple is divorced as the marriage did not work out. Though divorced, Maya ensures that everything runs smoothly in her house and that they continue to remain a happy family unit. Enter Shreya the career oriented woman who is Aman’s girlfriend too. The story takes a turn when due to an accident the two women are forced to stay together under the same roof. Shreya has a lot to learn about children and about family. Will Maya be able to maintain the calm and peace prevailing in the house and teach Shreya the ways of being a good parent?
