Dried Prawns and Lady’s Finger Sambal

Ingredients

For grinding:

Prawns – 1/2 kg
Red chillies – 4
Green chilliesĀ - 2
Small onionsĀ - 10

For frying

Lady’s finger – 8-10
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Oil – 4 tbs.
Salt to taste

Method

  • Clean and devein the prawns
  • Grind ingredients listed for grinding, in a mixer at speed 1 for 1 minute till ground to fine paste. Remove and keep aside.
  • Cut lady’s finger into 11/2” to 2″ pieces. Keep aside.
  • Heat cooking oil. Add salt and ground ingredients. Fry for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Add lady’s finger, mix well without breaking the vegetable.
  • Cook till done.
