Botos is one treatment like a God sent boon to all women who want to get rid of their wrinkles and look at least 10 yrs younger than their age. BOTOX is the commercial tradename for Botulinum Toxin Type A.
Botox is derived from the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. When injected into muscles it blocks transmission between the nerve endings and muscle fibres around the injection site to cause weakness of the nearby muscle. This same theory applies in the case of cosmetics too. When injected in small quantities into the facial muscles, they weaken thereby delaying the process of wrinkle formation.
It is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment for moderate to severe frown lines. It is typically used in people aged 18 to 65. It has been proven to be a safe and effective treatment for wrinkles, and Botox injections are becoming increasingly popular.
The procedure for Botox Treatment is very simple. Your cosmetologist will administer several tiny injections of Botox directly into the muscles of your face. Prior to injection, your doctor will determine where to administer the injections. The entire Botox injection procedure takes approximately 10 minutes and does not require anaesthesia. Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. It feels like a small pinch here and there on the face. It may take somewhere around 3 – 7 days to show any signs of improvement. After a period of time, your frown lines will begin to reappear as the effects of botox wear off. You can receive Botox injections every 4 months. With repeated treatments, the muscles become thin and hence they respond better to the treatment.
