Toning up your thighs

This problem enhances manifold when you are getting ready for a party and want to wear a frock or a skirt or even slim jeans. The thought of your thighs make you shudder and are forced to choose something else. Same is the case with many women while shopping for western clothes. Here are 2 tested exercises which, if performed regularly would definitely reduce inches from your thighs.

Walking lunges

Keeping your back straight and hands on your hips, take a step forward with your left foot while bending your left knee until the knee is just over the ankle. Your thigh should be parallel to the floor. Keep your abs pulled in tight. Your right (back) leg should be slightly bent but not touching the ground. See the photo. Now pull your right leg forward until back in an upright position. Repeat with your right leg. Keep moving forward doing as many as you can.

Squats

With your back straight and arms outstretched in front of you, feet hip-width apart, toes facing straight ahead or angled slightly outward, slowly bend the knees and lower hips towards the floor, keeping your torso straight and abs pulled in tight. Lower yourself until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Go slowly keeping your posture in check.

The time behind these exercises to show some noticeable results may vary as it depends entirely on your efforts. The key is to be consistent in your efforts. Don’t stop exercising just when it starts showing results. You may re-lapse. Don’t exercise to loose weight; instead make it a habit and a part of your lifestyle. Do it to feel fit and energetic.
