The Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF), Asia’s biggest shopping festival. The objective of the festival is to make by Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, is set to welcome shoppers and tourists from all over the world in its fifth edition.
The Entire event is managed by State Government of Kerala into the biggest
shopping mall; this 5th Mega shopping show in a row will open on December 01 and run through 45 days to end on January 15. The inaugural function will take place in Kochin on December 01.
Aim is to promote and develop commerce, trade and industrial sector of Kerala using the brand value of Kerala Tourism. The objective of the festival is to make the state an International shopping destination and to promote tourism and traditional products of Kerala. Kerala Department of Tourism in association with Industries, Finance and Revenue departments. Entire event is managed by State Government of Kerala.
The Department of Tourism, Kerala has planned the festival to give a ‘Real Shopping Experience’ while giving an opportunity to ‘experience the Kerala’ where visitors can connect with the State and explore its rich art, crafts, culture, customs and architecture.
Kerala has been the first state in India to promote such a shopping festival on a massive scale, claimed organizers.
With a view to give confidence even the smallest retailer to participate in the festival and thus to boost the retail chain within the State, the GKSF 5 has rolled out with exciting contests.
Over 45 days, GKSF has put 101 KG of Gold on offer.
This year, GKSF will be providing 100 per cent VAT refund for the consumers from outside the state who shop through their Credit Cards.
The festival will also endorse art, culture, customs and architecture of Kerala. Visitors will thus be able to have a real ‘experience’ of Kerala with a complete package of tourism with shopping.
Major brands like South Indian Bank, Malabar Gold, World Gold Council, JOSCO, Bhima Jewelers have entered into premeditated coalition with GKSF 5.
