Madhuri Dixit, Bollywood actress has been honoured with a wax statue at Madame Tussauds Museum in London on Wednesday March 7, 2012. Madhuri Dixit was escorted by her husband Dr. Ram Nene and two sons.
Madhuri Dixit joined the team and closely monitors the whole making process for pose and even contributes a Manish Malhotra pink sari for her statue to wear.
Madhuri Dixit delights seeing her own statue and said in a statement on the museum’s official website she was thrilled to be in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of her. It’s incredible just how detailed the figure is – they have captured her look beautifully! She feels very humbled to be included next to other Bollywood stars and some of co-star heroes.
Madhuri Dixit wax statue took about four months to make at a cost of 150, 000 pounds. Madhuri Dixit took part in sittings with sculptors from the museum in Mumbai a few months back. Madhuri Dixit was statue draped in a pink sari which is donated by her.
Madame Tussauds wax museum already have the statues of Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan , Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor.
